Valkyrie is led by Esme Arkinstall, a strategist, endurance athlete, and events specialist with a sharp eye for operational excellence and brand integration.

With a background as a Technical Account Manager at Let’s Do This, Esme has worked closely with some of the UK’s most exciting endurance events - including Great Run Company, Maverick Race, and Why We Run. Her role bridged the gap between tech and race-day delivery, helping event organisers optimise entry systems, grow participation, tune their marketing and elevate the athlete experience.

Beyond the backend, Esme is deeply embedded in the sports industry. She’s worked in data strategy and sponsorship management across disciplines, and regularly collaborates with brands as both a Suunto UK ambassador and on the ground at events like the National Running Show.
